Pingtung County Government has established “Pingtung County Low Carbon Homestead Promotion Team” in 2011 to implements “Low-Carbon Homeland” policy. Set a goal of deducting 30% of Carbon emission in 2013 by 2030. Pingtung County Government is actively providing comprehensive and efficient green energy and carbon reduction promotion services, Promoting the development of renewable energy and its industry, and creating employment opportunities and enhancing the green economy. Therefore, this project will continue the progress, including planning to implement green energy integration, increasing ecological green coverage, promoting Low-carbon environmental education etc.…
Here is a brief description of the implementation status of each project as follows:
I. Performing 11 sites of electricity analysis in San-Kuai Community, Fan-chang Community, Ta-Lou Community, Chi-shan Community, and Wan-jin Community, Shan-Jiao Community, Sha-Bu Community, Zhong-fu Community, Yufu Community, Kings Inn, Qipan-jiao B＆B and one activity Center in northern Pingtung County. Promoting “Time of Use Rates” (TOU), inventorying Low-Carbon Homeland Certification of these communities and processing aerial photography.
II. The green building renovation will build a green fence in Yuguang Community and a ventilating ball and green shed in Xiapu Community.
III. Green building renovation implement will be planning in Yuguang Community, Xiapu Community, and Xinwei Community.
IV. Set up 13 sets of 1kW Solar system and simply equipped water purification system in Old Raft Bay Tribe.
V. Performing inventory and aerial photography in 11 communities including San-Kuai community, Fan-chang Community, Ta-Lou Community, Wan-jin Community, Chi-shan Community, Feng-gang Community, Reed Community, Jiaxing Community, Wutan Community, Yongle Community, Xinlong Community, etc.
VI. The design of the Pingtung Low-Carbon tourism map has been completed, and will be displayed statically at the Pingtung Railway Station, Chaozhou Railway Station, Shengli Xingcun Village, and Pingtung Passenger Terminal.
VII. .Community farms will be built in Chenggong Community in Sheshan Township and Poly Village in Checheng Township.
VIII. Established a green base in Chishan Village, Wanluan Township and carried out the reconstruction of old buildings, and made related results into two groups of environmental education and publicity boards.
IX. Completed the installation of 4 sets of symbiosis of veg and worm device in Houcun Village, Wandan Township.
X. 5 low-carbon related meetings have been handled and published in online media and online platforms.
